Canvas SpeedGrader is the tool used for grading student work in Canvas. SpeedGrader will allow you to easily mark up a student's paper and use your designated rubric.

The Canvas Gradebook also helps instructors easily view and enter grades for their students. Depending on which Display Grade as was selected, grades for each assignment can be viewed as Percentage, Complete/Incomplete, Points, Letter Grade, GPA Scale, or Not Graded.

Only graded assignments, graded discussions, graded quizzes, and graded surveys that have been published display in the Gradebook. Ungraded assignments are not included.

Some highlights of the Canvas Gradebook include:

• Easy creation: All students who are enrolled in the course are automatically in the Gradebook.
• Easy management: As a graded item is created, it automatically creates a column in your Gradebook.
• Customizable views: Instructors can sort the Gradebook by a variety of filters, as well as view one student at a time.
• The "Message Students Who" feature: Use the "Message Students Who" feature (via the kabob at the top of each column) to easily communicate with students based on whether or not they submitted the assignment, their assignment has been graded, or how high a grade they have earned.
